Absolute Truth?
Our planet is developing several critical issues that are coming to critical mass .. unsustainable .. and demand global consensus and direction. .. things like, global warming, food supply, water quality and availability, nuclear proliferation, and WAR . You can add to the list. .. all of these things are potentially reversible and fixable. . I have confidence that as a species we have the ability to adapt and resolve actually, we must
Some obvious examples:
China illegal to have more than one child or protest official rulesIran government leaders are simply puppets for the master council of religious dogmatic rule
Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and other pockets of Radical Islam... jihad death to infidels . (as a matter of interest, during the Christian Reformation in the 16th Century, the Christian version of jihad was burning people at the stake for lack of belief in the trinity) All countries with other alarming issues of human existence and planetary preservation including the USA
terrorism, genocide, slavery, torture, abuse of all forms enough already!
OK my views and observation .. not righteous judgment!
As I see it .. the fundamental root is the obsession for the possession of absolute truth . Absolute truth being the unquestionable mind-set that I am right and you are not . IM RIGHT & YOU ARE WRONG!
put bluntly - RELIGION
To the Christian, if you do not live by the creed of the New Testament and accept Jesus as your savior, then you are lost and will not have life ever after . Absolute truth was written 2,000 years ago and thats it!
To the Muslim, the only truth is Allah and what is written in the Koran. Infidels must convert or die . Virgins in the afterlife as rewards ..
To the Jew, no trinity . The Old Testament belongs to us . Jesus was one of us.
To the Buddhist, empty the mind so you can experience pure existence .
And so on . Many flavors many absolute and unquestionable conclusions of being absolutely right!
Wage war to dispute it .. generate hatred and mistrust . conquer and destroy . missionaries to enlighten and save the natives from their religious misguidance . All religions trying to convert others ..You must believe as I do in order to know the right way .. or die
As I see it, there are two ways to resolve the dispute
1. global acceptance of differing beliefs . That is . Universal Religious tolerance
2. evolving and moving beyond religion ..... searching for the reality of man and all that exist
Good luck with #1 .. wont happen!
#2 .... is possible if our consciousness evolves soon enough for us to survive our quest for self destruction humans must awaken to the fact that we are clinging to ancient myths that posion our existence by suppressing common good ....... man may destroy himself (such as Nuclear warfare......where will Iran be in the next 10 years) and/or the planet (climate issues like global warming and water and soil pollution) before natural evolution (Nature) has a chance
to me: the soul and your own spiritual reality are the foundation of your path in this incredible experience of LIFE ...... our spiritual journey and your consciousness, as a living human creature, are one in the same .. when you are no longer conscious due to death, your spirit rejoins with the wonder of the universe and your ashes return to the substance of the cosmos
